The Art Studio Pasadena believes that “art provides a visual means of capturing the truth about the natural world and human nature through the lens of its author and conveying its beauty to the observer.”
The Art Studio teaches art in the classical tradition of placing one’s visual thoughts in a composition on canvas or paper. It does this by teaching the student placement, composition, proportion, understanding color, and how to use color to create depth and contrast. Through this process, the student artist can notice the physical world around them in a different way. They can start to see minor details and how important they are to the picture as a whole. As the student continues their learning, their natural talents will also continue to develop, especially for those who discredit their own abilities.
